Membership shall be open to all persons who have a genuine desire to achieve the objectives of the Club and reside or operate within the territory of the Club. (For Club objectives refer to "About Us" section).

About us

The objects for which the Club Constitution is established are;

1.1 (a)  To protect and enhance by all possible means the interests of recreational marine fishers who partake of their fishing activities within Akaroa Harbour, taking into account at all times that the resource must be preserved for the benefit of present and future generations.

(b)  To liaise with such other bodies and interest groups and take any action indicated on matters that may be necessary or desirable to further the interests of the Club members in achieving the principal objects of the Club in Clause (a) hereof or other areas of interest that may be relevant.

(c)  To promote, participate and engage in the protection of and scientific study of marine life, the marine environment, fish and their habitat.
